That has been my modding experience on Discord with people who know I play Bethesda games, and openly state that I do not use Vortex in VC. You now have the option to create a start menu folder. It is highly recommended that you use the default install path. ![]() Now you have the choice of where you want to install NMM. You know it's bad when people specifically come to you because they know you, and know you don't use Vortex just so they can get recommendations on what Mod Manager to use because they don't like Vortex. Read the license agreement and click accept if you agree to the standard GPL terms. Why Nexus keeps trying to support it, well it's beyond me. Mean while Vortex easily has the worst UI of any of the Mod Managers on Nexus right now. When it comes to using it's auto installer, activation, and other tools well, I've never had a problem with NMM. It's the primary reason I've not stopped using FOMM for Fallout 3 or NV either. I switched to Vortex and still works fine for me and NMM is outdated now btw NMM works fine though. Tried Vortex a few years ago, but the UI was crap. Have not had any particular reason to switch.
